Indoor LED Module

What Is Indoor LED Display Module?

An indoor LED module is the fundamental building block of a modern indoor LED video wall. It is a self-contained panel consisting of tiny LED lights, a driving circuit (Driver IC), and a printed circuit board (PCB). When tiled together, these modules create seamless, high-resolution screens for indoor environments.

How it Works: Multiple modules are snapped together into larger frames called cabinets or panels, which are then linked to a central controller to project images and videos.

Key Characteristics

Pixel Pitch (Resolution)

Indoor modules use a measurement called pixel pitch (the distance between adjacent LED pixels). Indoor viewing requires high resolution, so standard modules use small pixel pitches like P1.2, P1.5, P1.8, P2, P2.5, P3, P3.076, P3.91, P4.81, P4, to P5, etc. (representing distances of 1.2 mm to 5 mm).

LED Technology

They predominantly use SMD (Surface Mounted Device) technology, which packages multiple colors into a single diode. This allows for wider viewing angles, crisper details, and better color mixing at close distances.

Brightness

Compared to outdoor models, indoor LED modules have lower brightness requirements. They are designed to prevent eye strain and deliver vibrant visuals without reflecting glare in ambient indoor light.

Environment

Indoor modules are not weatherproof. They lack heavy waterproofing, robust UV protection, or thick protective casings.
